Even More Chubbier - 6.2kg @ 7 weeks!

Geraldine was chit chatting with Papa whilst Mama was bathing Gwendolyn...Papa weighed her and noticed that she's already weighing a hefty 6.2kg at less than 2 months! Scary...gaining 2.7kg within 7 weeks since birth...

Look at her double chin and both cheeks...just like a goldfish!

Manicure and Pedicure

Surprisingly, Geraldine's finger nails grows very fast...Papa and Mama have already given her manicure and pedicures for almost 4 times since she was born...just imagine she's only going to be 2 months old on Sunday and already 4 times...wow!!!

I'm So Pink!

Anyone notice anything special in this picture? Gwendolyn's finally own one pair of girlie SHOES! It was so difficult for Papa and Mama to find a pair for her, which is comfortable and big enough for her! Guess what her shoe size is? 32 She was so eager to show off her new shoes...she wore everything pink, including socks, which Mama doesn't think it matched with her shoes though...

Chicken Rice @ Chatterbox

Chicken Rice @ Chatterbox, Meritus Mandarin Hotel is very famous in Singapore! It was an award winning signature dish as well! Papa and Mama went for it for both 29 and 30 March, bringing Auntie Juliana and Por Por respectively for dinner! Auntie Juliana was Mama's university friend from Hong Kong and Papa's flatmate at Birmingham! She came to Singapore for a meeting and met up with Papa, Mama and Gwendolyn (P.S. Geraldine stayed home with Por Por). Lyn Lyn ate half bowl of rice and plenty of chicken and kept sayng that it's nice! Lyn Lyn clicked well with Auntie Juliana instantly after her afternoon nap and kept chatting with each other. After dinner, we all went to Bakerzin @ Paragon for some desserts...scary...4 of us ordered 3 slices of various types of chocolate cake and a Bailey's souffle...yum yum...


Subsequently, on 30 March, when we're deciding where to go for dinner, Por Por mentioned that she has never tried Chicken Rice @ Chatterbox before, so we all went again. However, tonight, both Lyn Lyn and Geraldine were asleep and only Por Por, Papa and Mama ate...Well, Mama thought that nothing was really special about the chicken rice, but just she couldn't bring herself to order anything else, as they don't worth the price on the menu...so no choice, everyone ate chicken rice AGAIN...

How much was the chicken rice? S$23.50 + GST!!!

My Mitten-Wrapped Hand is soooo Tasty!

Compared to Gwendolyn, Geraldine has this tendency to suck her mittens/hands fairly frequently...Mama has captured the following as a reminder to her, f how funny it looks when she sucks her mittens/hands!

First Time To The Swimming Pool

The weather hasn't been good and Gwendolyn hasn't had a swim for a long time. Since it's a sunny day today, Papa is bringing her for a swim. Mama took the chance to bring Geraldine down to the swimming pool for a walk as well, letting her have a first "feet" experience in the pool water! Don't worry, she's not swimming, but only touching the water!

Gwendolyn started with the baby pool and was splashing water everywhere!

After the big splash, we all head to the lap pool for some real swimming action. Mama carried Geraldine to sit close to the pool, so that she can see what everyone else is doing! As usual, Lyn Lyn would jump into the water from the poolside and show us how brave she is!

After watching for a while, finally Mama has removed Geraldine's socks and let her stand next to the pool at the shallow waters...look at her face!

Geraldine: What's this? What are you doing? What's that under my feet?

Lyn Lyn: Mei Mei, I'm shooting at Mama and you with my water sword!

Geraldine was only standing in the shallow water for less than 10 seconds and started to have runny nose...so fast?!

What's more interesting? She started crying and Mama has to bring her home quickly. Once home, she started "complaining" to Por Por about what Mama has done to her down at the swimming pool and kept "talking" until Por Por responded to her "complaints"...who would believe that she's less than 2 months when this incident happened?

Joel Di Di's Birthday Present

22 March was Joel Di Di's birthday. Mama helped Gwendolyn to prepare a present for him and she wrote the message on the wrapper all by herself! Can you see the handwriting?

Yes, no punctuation marks and no sequence...she just wrote all she wanted to write in whatever space she can find! Not bad though, as she managed to write it all by herself, without any help! Mama just wrote on a piece of paper and she followed!

I Buckle Up for Mei Mei

Gwendolyn, as a big jie jie, loves to help out in everything Papa and Mama does for Geraldine, so that she won't lose out! This time, she asked to help mei mei to buckle up at the seat, whilst Papa and Mama are packing mei mei's bag before going out!

Papa and Mama knew that Geraldine was born a strong baby. However, what's more amazing is that she can kick very hard and loves to be carried upright, unlike an ordinary baby to be carried horizontally. What's more? She loves to STAND...see how she stands on her baby car seat...

Visit to New Baby Cousin

Bao Bei Gu Gu has given birth to a baby boy on 3 March. Since Mama was still on confinement and couldn't visit Gwendolyn and Geraldine's new baby cousin (Joel's Di Di), we went for a visit after Geraldine's full month celebration! As both Geraldine and baby cousin are less than a month apart, Bao Bei Gu Gu and MaMa put the 2 babies side-by-side for a photo session...

Geraldine's Full Month Celebration

Though Geraldine was born on 6 February 2008, CNY Eve...but her full month celebration was held on 8 March 2008, as Mama wanted to have it on a Saturday! Papa and Mama invited 50 over guests for the celebration at the function room in the Club House! The party started at 11:30am and lasted until 3:00pm. This time, Papa Mama ordered from a different caterer: House of Catering, just for a change...as normally, the food is ordered from Stamford Catering and everyone is kind of bored with the food!

Papa and Mama were too busy entertaining all the guests and didn't remember to take more pictures for the occasion! However, as compared to Gwendolyn, Geraldine had more pictures than her Jie Jie during full month celebration!

Preparing Full Month Cake Voucher

Geraldine's full month is just round the corner. As Mama has received a lot of well wishing presents from her colleagues, she planned to bring Geraldine back to the office on 7 March for a visit. The night before, she was preparing the full month cake voucher as a token of thanks to her colleagues. Gwendolyn, as usual, was eager to help Mama to complete this tedious task! So, Mama started a "production line", where Mama would write the names in the card, Lyn Lyn would fold the voucher and insert into the envelopes, then return to Mama to write the recipient's name on the envelope, before Fu Fu finally seals it off! Lyn Lyn felt so happy to have helped Mama with this!

Fu Fu's Visit

After Gong Gong and Por Por have left, Fu Fu came to visit Geraldine and to attend her full month celebration. Since Fu Fu is quite big in size, you can see the Geraldine is actually lying comfortably on this "human sofa"...so shiok (Shiok: Singlish)!

Geraldine's Confinement Nanny

This was Mama's confinement nanny since returning home from the hospital on 8 March and she's been taking care of Geraldine day and night since then! Today is her last day with us and Mama has requested to take a picture of her and Geraldine, so that Geraldine will know who was caring for her since she was born for the first month!

End of Term - Teddy Bear Picnic

Gwendolyn told Mama excitedly that she's going to have an end of term teddy bear picnic in school on 6 March! Ms Jam told everyone that they can bring their favourite food to the picnic. Lyn Lyn, without hesitation, told Mama that she wanted to bring peanut butter sandwich to share with all 16 of her friends in her class! Mama promised her to bring her to the supermarket to buy the ingredients after school on 5 March, after Fu Fu has arrived in Singapore! (P.S. Lyn Lyn excitedly told Ms Jam in the morning that her Fu Fu will be picking her up after school on 5th!)

All of us hurried to the Cold Storage at McDonald's Place at the junction of Clementi Road and Bukit Timah Road, grabbed our stuff and hurried home. After dinner, Mama asked Lyn Lyn to bring out everything to prepare the peanut butter sandwiches. She's asked for the green plates that we've bought for the last X'mas Party to hold the sandwiches and the red cups for drinks during tomorrow's picnic. Lyn Lyn carefully spread the peanut butter on the bread and cut each sandwich into 4 triangles. Mama and Lyn Lyn completed 4 sets, with 16 small pieces! Lyn Lyn was satisfied and carefully packed the napkins for all of her friends, with some, having special "santa claus" pattern. She even placed her teddy bear together with Spot at the console table, just in case she's forgotten to bring her teddy bear along the next morning! All well prepared...

P.S. 6 March was a rainy day and Mama wasn't sure what happened to the planned teddy bear picnic? Though Lyn Lyn returned to tell Mama that she had a great picnic with her friends!
